Hen Party Venue
Cedars House is the perfect venue for a vintage hen party or any other excuse for a girlie get together. As the interior was designed by award-winning bridal designer Jan Knibbs who with her husband Jonathan transformed their previous family home into a slice of vintage heaven, it has a lovely home from home “shabby chic” feel. It is also full of quirky details, ideal for vintage or themed tea parties, murder mysteries or cosy dinners. If you don’t want to do everything yourselves, tea parties, vintage makeovers, photo shoots and craft workshops can all be laid on, tailored to your exact requirements.
Due to the idyllic location in the beautiful Wye Valley, there are also many activities available to take part in for those feeling a bit more energetic. Right on the doorstep there are stunning country walks and bike rides. Within walking distance is the famous River Wye which is renowned for canoeing and just a short drive away is the amazing Forest of Dean where you will find “ Pedal a Bike Away” and “Go Ape”, perfect for the more adventurous.

There is also an abundance of nice country pubs and eating establishments in close proximity as well as the market towns of Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth, both of which are worth a visit.
For the more culturally minded there are many historic castles, abbeys and churches well worth exploring. For those looking for more nightlife and/or shopping, Hereford, Gloucester and Cheltenham are not too far away. Jan’s vintage inspired bridal boutique, Atelier 19, is located in Cheltenham if you are still looking for inspiration for your big day.
